Day 278 Saturday 14/1/17
Wind W 20-50 Sea 2m
Left Wineglass Bay st 7:15 and headed north. The wind was blowing offshore from the west but reached 50+ knots so I only had the genoa slightly unfurled.
Contacted St Helens Marine Rescue and spoke to Tony and John about the bad entrance at low tide. Had no problem as it was clam but had to punch the tide to St Helen wharf.
Contacted the wharf manager ( Clyde) and he came so we could fill up with diesel and water. Clyde graciously allowed us to stay in the wharf overnight as he had no further customers booked for fuel.
Had a shower and went for a walk along the Main Street. Picked up a few groceries and then had dinner at the Bayside inn which was quite nice.
