Day 285 Saturday 20/1/17
Wind SW 15-20 Sea 2m
Darren and Steve came onboard to have a look at 2Dream and then we had a look at Verve. Verve is big inside and set up for catering for 40+ people.
Headed back to Lakes Entrance and after saying goodbye we headed out the entrance at 14:00 and set sail for Eden.
As predicted the wind gradually died and we ended up motoring.
Cooked up so rissoles for dinner but Angela had only toast. Watch another few episodes of Star Wars to keep me awake during the night.
Day 286 Sunday 21/1/17
Wind SW 5-10 Sea 2m
Angela took over at 6:00 while I graded an hours sleep.
Arrived at Eden around 10:00 and tied up on the mooring wharf. The water police gave us a hand to tie up as they were attending to a derelict boat next to us which had been abandoned by its owner. Bought some fresh prawns off a local trawler.
Went for a walk under the hill to the town centre and had coffee and cake. Got some details about hiring a car from the tourist information office.
Had a siesta to catch up in some sleep and then went for another walk around the headland.
Had some salmon and prawns for dinner.
Had to put out all the fenders to keep us off the wharf.
Day 287 Monday 22/1/17
Wind SW 15-20 Sea 2m
Paid our mooring fees to the wharf manager Jonho who was originally from Wangi Wangi. Had coffee at the wharf cafe and rang up about a hire car but alas there were none available.
Went for a long walk around the lagoon instead and then had a nice cold berry smoothy at the local cafe.
Had another siesta and then fixed some timber that had become unstuck.
Met the crew of a 50' barvarian who berthed and then had to raft up next to the derelict boat when a trawler kicked them off their berth.
Lamb shank for dinner-yum.
