Endless Summer

Well, last weekend was another beatiful sailing weekend. Danielle had to do some family business, so Konstantin and I sailed up with a group of others from the club (Ruby, Laura E and Monshadow).
The winds were fromt the NorthEast, so we were on a pretty close reach. We climbed up as far east as possible and then had a wonderful sail into Salem.
Danielle drove over to Salem, and Konstantin took her car back to Winthrop. Nansea K came by car.
We grabbed slips from Palmers Cove Yacht club and spend the night eating and drinking in Salem:).
Coming back next day was a roller-coaster. The waves had build up in the morning as the front passed by. We were rolling around. We went a few miles offshore to find some flatter seas and then rode into Boston on following seas. Onece we arrived at Deer Island Light, everything was flat and calm.
The late afternoon turned out to be a beatiful sunset.
All in all, a nice way to end the summer.
Several friends are leaving for the south ... we are watching them go and yearning .......
