Happy Easter to you all. I hope you have a blessed day filled with colored eggs, chocolate bunnies and family and friends.
I am blogging from the Mangoes Marina office in Marsh Harbor, Abaco, Bahamas.
We have been here about 2 weeks waiting out one front and getting ready for Jess and her family to arrive. That's the best of crusing.
We have sampled the various restaurants, Snappa's, Wally's and Curlytails. Mike has filled himself with fish and conch and peas and rice. Ice cream is a special treat so I've had some along the way.
Jess, Greg and Kevin and Ben came so we finally sailed with them over to Man O' War and walked the beach; we saw a starfish, a sand dollar and a barracuda. We had to get back to avoid a wind and thunderstorm which didn't happen.
The next day we went back across to Hopetown and moored for an overnight. We also hit the beach there but really the big hit was the dinghy which Kevin can now drive. He still can't pull the cord to start it but does a great job of steering/driving.
We loved having them on Abner E and appreciate their tolerance of a small space.
Looks like we will be here through Easter, everything is closed today, Good Friday and Easter Sunday and Monday. We are expecting high winds Sat. through Tuesday when we will go to Man O' War for a foray to a gift shop with cool material.
We will then head to Great Sale and across the Gulf Stream to Cape Canaveral.
It has been a good winter but unusual with many "fronts".
Next time I will blog from our homeland, USA.
