Guess it must have been dreaming from my head to my fingers getting a picture of the sailboat Secret on my last post. I intended to show a picture of Ebeth at Karmoy. Secret is anchored in the Bahamas with it`s clear water, and that is the place to be this time of the year. Crooked Island to be exact.
Anyway :
Right now I am aboard the good ship Ebeth shown in this posting. The last weeks have been quite wet, to be honest. And windy ! First we had the gale Berit which created a mess in the Northern part of Norway. High water was a result of the wind pressing the sea against land.
Picture of Ebeth is from this weather, but it could as well have been from this weekend also.
Good news is that in January I will fly to Crooked Island again. Where Secret, my sailboat was anchored I think is the right thing to say now.
Hurricane Irene hit the Island pretty hard this summer, and Secret and a couple of other boats anchored in Frenc Wells at Crooked Island were driven ashore I was told.
What the condition is I do not know. She was driven high and almost dry my friend Andy at Crooked Island said...

Starting something is not always easy, no matter what the undertaking is. But I believe in learning in doing.
So here I am blogging also, something new to me. Boating and sailing is something else. Have been doing that for about sixty years now.
This blog will be about my future trip or trips I hope.
But also some things from the past.
I have been sailing, running powerboats, been a seaman and also a lighthousekeeper for many years. Also tried boatbuilding, designing a few boats and sailing rigs for friends.
Now , at the age of 65 I am still learning, and I have done quite a few mistakes .... Some of which I will share in times to come.
But mostly I have had fun , I am happy to say.
And that is why sailing and boating is something you never let go when hooked.
