This picture shows all of the burned out LEDs in a chart light that we bought from Dr. LED. Not only has the light output on this piece of junk dropped to the point that you cant read by it any more, but the LEDs flicker as they burn out which is extremely anoying. This light has been in intermittent service for 6 months. It really only gets used on overnight passages. It started loosing LEDs while we were still in San Diego but Dr. LED wanted the receipt before they would honor the warranty. We have also had failures on about 30% of the small Dr. LED clusters that we used for courtesy lights in the storage cabinets. We have not lost a single LED in any of the clusters we have purchased from Bebi electronics in Fiji. So my plan is to replace the LEDs in this light with a cluster from Bebi electronics. Even a replacement from Dr.LED would not meet our needs since something that only lasts a couple of months is not worth the weight it adds to the boat.
