Departure
07 October 2007 | Lynn-Scituate
Sue&Joe/5 ft. following seas
As we motored out of Lynn, our friends Alan and Elaina, called to let us know we were getting smaller and smaller but not to worry. We did start worrying, though, when the forecasted 1-2 ft waves turned into 4-5 ft waves. Instead of returning to our homeport, we set our course for a wonderful spot, World's End, south of Boston. We were able to surf the waves all the way there. We were welcomed by our other Lynn Seaport friends, Mark, Marcy, Mary, and Ben. How delightful to have one last get together with these wonderful folks who shared so many good times and good meals with us all season.
As predicted, the weather cleared by 2:00 p.m. Continuing south, we arrived in Scituate Harbor to enjoy a gorgeous apricot sunset. Day one ended beautifully.
