Sylvan at Rush Hour Sunday Afternoon
We arrived at Sylvan Beach late on a Sunday afternoon, just in time to see the weekend merry-makers, returning from their day on the water. We grabbed a spot on the Terminal Wall and tied up far enough back that the boaters had reduced speed and wakes were minimal. Traffic, however, was substantial featuring the largest fleet of pontoon ‘booze barges’ boats I have ever seen in one place. As visitors walked the boardwalk along the waterway, several stopped to ask how we got the mast up and down. It seems to be quite a fascination for non-boaters.
