We hauled out and there were no problems on the bottom. Got some anti-fouling stuff on the new prop. Then we attempted to get through the Straits of Juan de Fuca, and the first outing was not what we anticipated. It got very ugly out there very quickly and was totally counter to the weather forecasts and gribs. After 17 miles out of 47 we needed to reach Neah Bay, we turned back. On the way to safe anchorage at 1:00 AM, noticed a vibration in the prop. Called a diver the next day, only to find out that when he finally arrived, we were clear again. Thank goodness !!
Waiting for another weather window, and hope to depart Wednesday, July 14th. Our third member of the crew, Steve McAbee, is arriving tonight and we plan to leave the dock at 04:00 AM.
At moment we are equaliizing our batteries and getting the deck packed down. Will be back on line somewhere in Hawaii. Later...
