Travelling South

It has been a long haul, not easy, and not that much fun either. The weather has been fighting us - no wind for the sails and wave action that I wasn't expecting. We met a buddy boat, Mischief, in La Push who are doing the passage to take their boat home to the San Francisco area. Donna and Bob Miller, have been fantastic and that's the happy part.
Meantime, we are beginning to get the idea there will be no passage to Hawaii this year, and new plans are being developed so we can work in the Bay area and get out the middle or end of May. There are pros and cons to this, but the major problem is that we have encountered battery issues, and we think we will need to replace them. This is an expense we were not expecting. However, the other boat issues are no longer problems. So, in a way this was a good thing, but we're both terribly disappointed.
We are safe, however, and the boat is a trooper. Take care and I'll update as events occur. Fair winds --
