Thanksgiving Day

Jackie / Beautiful and warm
Thanksgiving day and very quiet. Carol, a neighbor, came over and we toasted the day with 1/2 glass of wine. It was a very relaxing day, beautiful and warm and gorgeous. Last night we went to SF and went to the International Car Show. It was fun and of course, we got a little confused and lost on the way home.
Had the little dog today (see photo) and took care of a few chores (cleaned out the frig) and attempting to deal with the car. We bought a Corolla which hasn't turned out to be the best decision and now have to figure out how to get either a better car and spend more money on this one. The Cadillac had to be retired and we got $1000 from the state for that.
Looking forward to a new year and installing the wind vane. Jonathan has his nose surgery on January 17th and we've set aside two weeks for recuperation. Hopefully, it will go smoothly and without too much discomfort. I haven't been working too much so have been lying low. Well, have a great holiday season, all and look forward to a good 2014.
How could I forget that our friends Harry and Sandie visited us from WA on their road trip. It was so great so see them and we realized very quickly how strange CA is when up against the real people and wonderful friends we had in WA. So, again, hope everyone has a great new 2014.
