GO for a Shake

17 December 2009 | Lagos, Portugal
We are 'trapped' in Lagos, Portugal waiting out a couple of storm systems. In the the meantime, the small coastal town has been quiet as the winter season here is very slow. We are however, enjoying normal sleep and eating patterns as we are docked.
Lastnight when Rich and I were out in the town, an earthquake hit about 150 miles away...

An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale hit Spain and Portugal, with its epicenter in the Atlantic Ocean about 100 kilometers southwest of Cape St Vincent in Portugal and at a depth of 58 kilometers, Spain's seismological institute and the National Geographic Institute said.

Spanish media said the quake hit cities of Seville, Cordoba and Huelva. Portugal felt the quake across the coast, but still has been issued neither detailed report whether there is damage or casualties.

So with a break in the weather this morning we are going to stroll around the town again and buy some provisions and also some fishing equipment.
