We arrived at the Port Captains office at 9:30. He told us we needed to go to the airport to check in with Aduana, Immigration and Agriculture first and then return to his office. Immigration seemed a little confused that we arrived on our own boat but eventually gave us the visa and stamped our passports. They told us that before we left we needed to go to 15th and 5 to pay. Agriculture definitely did not want to come out to inspect so they just waved us on. Aduana (customs) once again seemed a little confused on how to handle us but they eventually stamped our papers. We returned to the port captains office and was informed that we needed to pay a fee and the banks were closed so we needed to return on Monday. No problemo!! We went out of the tourist area to a restaurant called Las Tortullas for lunch as it was recommended by a taxi driver. It was reasonable and very good. After lunch we went back to the malecon to search for a wireless internet connection . We couldn't find a wireless connection that was in the shade so Bob and I started on an internet café search. We needed to check on weather. Austin took off to check out the town. We finally came upon an internet café that was opened called the No Name Internet café. As I was finishing up Bob decided to check out the premises. Behind the internet café he found a beach club. The beach club had a pool, bar, restaurant and a beach area. It also had a dock that would work for the dinghy. There was also a cigar bar next to the café. Bob met the owner Grant who rents the property from the hotel and runs the beach club, internet and cigar bar. They also had an outside shower and restrooms. Grant told us we were welcomed to come in the dinghy and use his dock and spend as much time there as we want. That evening we returned in the dinghy to listen to a jazz group from New Zealand. We had a great dinner and enjoyed the music.
