Xmas on Rock and Roll
02 January 2012 | La Paz, Mexico
Christmas Day was spent on Rock n Roll. Terry, who has been crewing with me for a month, and I were invited to have Christmas dinner with Russ and Janet. I have to tell you now that Janet is a superb cook so the day was going to be good. We walked from marina Palmira to la Paz marina , a brisk 60 minutes loaded down with Champane and a few bottles of white wine. Russ picked us up from the dingy dock wearing a pair of reindeer antlers !!
Lunch was as expected......wonderfull , the wine was good and we ended the day with a game of baha Rummy. Needless to say the boys gave the girls a good thrashing.
Then it was back to the shore and a walk back to Palmira. I needed the walk home to deal with the belly full of food !!
A good deal of people were out on the Malacon, especially those who had new bikes, rollers skates or skateboards for Xmas. A few days later terry left for the UK to spend New Years Eve with friends and to look for her next crew position. She professionally crews on yachts and spent a little time on Alex II after delivering a yacht from Florida to La Paz.
