Let the hemorrhaging continue. We were ready to depart this morning to return to Fort Pierce, when the Alternator alarm when off right after we started the engine. WTF!! So we shut down the engine and called the marine mechanic... again. This time it was the external voltage regulator that needed to be replaced. Of course the part has to be flown in from Seattle, next day air with Saturday delivery. For those who keep track of the rules of boating, here is another rule: Nothing ever breaks on a Monday. Only Friday or the weekend. Here is another witicism shared by the boat mechanic: An alternative to boat ownership is to put on a raincoat, stand in a cold shower and rip up hundred dollar bills.
