4th

05 July 2013 | Kyuguot Sound
Sara
How we celebrated 4th of July in Kyuquot Sound Petroglyph Cove. Charley caught 2 rock fish and a lingcod for a fish fry. While cleaning the fish I stabbed Charley's thumb and had to suture it to stop the bleeding(he is just fine no big deal but you wouldn't know it). I went kayaking. A sea otter followed me around making sure I was not going to eat any of his crab. A black bear came down into the cove and turned over some rocks looking for crabs and 3 adult Eagels(while the younger eagle crocked her head in embarrassment) sang the Star Spangled Banner at sunset while we lite off our light sticks for our sparklers.

Hope you all had equally exciting 4th of July!!!

Will continue to enjoy Kyuquot Sound for several more days.

Sara and Charley
