Still Searching for a Safe Spot to Leave Altair!
Becca
03/16/2010, Martin's Marina, Secret Harbor

We didn't dingy over to Martin's even though we love it there! Angel is a sweetheart and has been running a ghost marina ever since "Mr. Cohen", who owns Calivigny Island , this marina and all the land with the withering architecture! She was willing to give us a price over the phone since she knows and loves us, and will work with us!

So where will it be?

Then we dingyed over to Clarke's Court Bay Marina where Bob gave us a price...it's competitive with Whisper Cove, but it's a lot easier to get in here!

This is a night shot

1st Choice for Marina...Mine anyway...

We are going home for a couple of weeks and we need to put the boat in a marina.

We've talked to Gerard at Whisper Cove Marina...(my vote)....he worked out a price, showed us the spot we could have and even mentioned the new med-moring lines he would take care of. We'll see!

Still have time for Violet!
Becca
03/15/2010, Whisper Cove Marina

We always have time for friends and this is my all time favorite place to do laundry, get caught up with internet, and last but most importantly visit with my new friends. Violet is one of them, a real sweetheart to, and I wanted to say thanks to her as much as wish Nigel (her hot man who also works here at Whisper Cove) a very 'green' birthday!

Nigel is the landscaper, among other duties, so it was natural to paint a garden around this shy beautiful woman. el Hefe...don't know the translation in French, Gerard, was huffing and puffing and we were hidding like kids because Violet is SHY and on duty. Very camera shy! She was hiding more from Nigel and that's refreshing to see young, fun love.

It took 2 dozen shots for her to "let her hair down" and enjoy the fun.

With all the pictures I take around this place, Violet would still never let me take one of her, not even for her "Mum"....british! But today two days after Nigel's birthday I show up for pictures. I thought Violet was going to cry! She got her hair straightened, had some make up on and said she looked beautiful on Saturday, but now it's Monday. I felt horrible.

After convincing her that she is beautiful, sweet, smart, responsible and nurturing everyday, she forgave me, and let me shoot this! She IS a sweetheart!

Canon Saga Continues!
Becca
03/12/2010, Where to Send the Cannon?

Tracking had the Canon signed for at OUR house! We're not there. Not until the 22nd. They had two other addresses where my friend and neighbor will receive the FedX package for us! I love the internet! Dudley just procured a new wifi antenna so we can now do all the 'tracking' we need to right here on Altair! Excellent. I'm excessively happy about that!

Who's at our house? Caroleena, my friend and our caretaker of the townhouse, is at a SOLAR convention in JAX, MS today thru the weekend, not in Miami like we woud've have wished!

Martha was pulling into the cul-de-sac at our TH association when I called on Skype, from the boat (ok, so I sound like a broken record). Some man came to the door as Martha is scrounging around the garden to see if FDX hid it! The guy said he signed for the package and has it!

"Is it Will?" I ask. She doesn't know! I describe him, but it's not him.

Martha says, "So who's at your HOME".

I want to know too, but the camera made it inside our home...we'll find out! HeHe!

Canon Drama Continues...

03/09/2010, Canon Repair in Virginia

I got two e-mails from Canon today...one that the repair office received the camera and it will be 10 days at the outside to fix.

The second e-mail was to give me a tracking number because they're finished and shipped it today. The camera was water damaged and they completely replaced it with a new camera!

This is supposed to be water resistant to 10m...33f !!!!

Now what? Start making calls, that's what!
