St. Vincent, Part Two...

17 June 2010 | Montreal Gardens
Becca
The Montreal Gardens are widely renown and were a must see during this short visit today! Reese, our tour guide and taxi driver, agreed to squeeze in all we wanted to do today for a reasonable price and also agreed to my request to stand up thru the sunroof to shoot the sights as we raced the clock today! Our bruises and grease marks were proof positive of our childlike joy as Carol and I did the "SOB" into each other for hours (that would be "slide over baby").

Both Carol and I managed the tiny opening happily and were a sight to behold as we photographed the churches, the flora, the architecture and then we had to pass through the Mesopotamia Valley! St. Vincent's bread basket as it is lovingly denoted. How stunning, richly fertile and electrically lush! I have to say that we were successful in capturing at least half of what we shot on the fly! Very fun, very beautiful and ooooooooo, the gardens. Even Dudley said that it was breathtaking...now he knows what I mean when I exclaim "My endorphins are on overdrive" in the Heavenly Caribbean Floral Wonderlands we been privy!

Enjoy the Photo Gallery named: Montreal Gardens, A St. Vincent Jewel. It was practically impossible to choose a post shot from the utterly indescribably, magnanimously, lucious choices.

Vessel Name: Altair
Vessel Make/Model: Tartan 34'
Hailing Port: Coconut Grove Sailing Club
Crew: Dudley Clark and Becky Butler
About: Dudley has owned this Tartan sloop and has been cruising on her since 1986. Becky joined the good sloop back in 2000 when we first started cruising together and he has been 'training' me ever since! I couldn't be happier! I've been sailing all my life, but cruising is a whole different fish!
Extra: This is the most extended cruise we've braved on this wonderful, old boat of ours which is planned to be about 2 years! We left Miami in late February of 2008 and want to get below the hurricane belt by the end of July! Ok, so it's July, 2011...we're close, but not home yet!
