Underway

31 May 2013 | Underway to Ablerquerque CAys
Mark
The weather forecast changed and so did our plans. I guess the weather system that was supposed to bring rainy weather today moved faster than expected and when I checked the GRIB files last night, it showed a good window for heading North if we left early AM today, so we did. We are currently 7.5 miles out with 162 nm to our next waypoint. With luck we should arrive @ Alberqueque Cays in mid to late afternoon with good visibility to go in and anchor. Yesterday was a slow easy day. I had finished cleaning the hiull and put away the hookah for the voyage so there was nothing that needed doing. The morning was nice and sunny (and hot) so we spent time swimming, sitting inside the shade curtained cockpit and reading and just hanging out. The afternoon clouded over so the beach bars were not that busy. All in all a very peaceful day. Todayt looks like a trawler day all day. Little to no wind, but flat seas. Oh well, we have plenty of diesel and we are making good time so that is what matters most. Hopefully there will be enough wind to at least motor dail later on.

Always & All Ways's Photos - Main
In the Spring of 2016, we sailed from Bocas del Toro, Panama, to Cuba and back with stops at the Albuquerque Cays, Providencia, and the Cayman Islands. We cruised the South coast of Cuba some and then left the boat for some inland excursions.
