When you live some place as beautiful and scenic as San Francisco, it can be hard to remember that there are places in this country like West Texas. Even though the Bay Area is in the midst of a huge drought, somehow it still seems lush and verdant compared to West Texas. I am sure there are people in this part of the world who are passionate about their little patch of earth and wouldn't want to live anywhere else, but I think I would be certifiable in a very short time if I had to live here. For some reason the ocean doesn't effect me the same way even though some might think it equally flat and desolate.
