We've Made Our Turn South

19 June 2014 | 00 'N:146 42.7'W, On the Equator
Paul & Toomey
The wind direction has changed and forced our turn to a more southerly direction. We are sailing close-hauled and have full sails. It's pretty hot down here. The upside of that is everything has dried out. There were dolphins with us again at sunrise. Cute little ones; I wish I knew which kind. Sleep deprivation is still a challenge. Our spirits are good and relationships fine considering the heat/hunidity and lack of proper sleep. We're going to celebrate crossing the equator tonight and we hope you will too. Special 'happy birthday" to my dear friend David Sullivan. Aloha, Paul

So much for my low sodium diet; there's nothing but salt water out here! On last night's watch I was hit by a flying fish. This time on the shoulder and neck. 9:30am, team "Hook Line & Wanker" landed one again. This time, around a 40lb tuna.
