After 10 years in Mexico, Andromeda’s now at rest at The Harborage, St. Petersburg, Fl.
Previously :
Andromeda lies securely tied @ the dock in Marina Makax, in the Laguna Makax, Isla Mujeres, Mexico, a great home base for western Caribbean adventures.
Located in Isla Mujeres, just a [...]
short hop from Cancun, it’s international airport and many attractions.
A small tropical island, beautiful turquoise waters with many anchorages makes for a day sailing paradise, and the islands of Holbox, Isla Blanca and Cozumel are but a short sail away.
For the more adventurous, Cuba and Havana are only 1-2 days away, Roattan 2 days south, Belize is 3 days south, the Cayman Islands are 3-4 days to the east, the same as Florida to the north east.
The Makax lagoon in Isla Mujeres is a designated hurricane hole, and it’s many small marinas offer an affordable, cozy safe harbour the year round.
Furthermore the island's tropical climate make it an ideal vacation and boating destination all year, forget about cold winters, come sail in the Caribbean!

Balance and Symmetry
I love to sail because it is a lot like life...
There are things you can control, and things you can't control.
You can control the shape of your sails, you can control your heading...
you can control a lot of things.
You can't control the wind. You can't control the tide...
you can't control a lot of things.
The trick is to achieve balance and symmetry
by understanding what you can't control
and adjusting what you can to stay your course.
Balance.
For that magic time the boat sails itself
and you get where you want to go without fighting, without trouble...
you sit back and eat a sandwich and drink a beer and
enjoy the day!
I love to sail because it is a lot like life...
