Every boater/cruiser knows that a boat is best maintained when you live on it. You do a little bit every day and keep your vessel up-to-date this way. As our boat has been sitting for years it tooks us years to get her in shape again.

When we launched her two weeks ago we thought we were ready. Well, at least almost. Our refrigerator didn´t work and we knew that we needed a new compressor. The plan was to have the new compressor built in on Guanaja since we know the local electrician and "refri-man" and also know that he knows what he is doing.
The only problem is to get hold of him since he´s always terribly busy. Normally you have to call him 10 times before you get a chance to see him. I expected two weeks to go by before the refrigerator would run again. I was wrong! After the first call he showed up and repaired the thing in no time. Here we go - cool beers again....

The only thing we have to do now is to wait for a nice weather window to head eastwards.
