105 nautical miles in the last 24 hours, 222 rum line miles complete with 224 to go. ¤We finally got past a hundred miles in a day on this passage. Without wind and without the luxury of enough fuel we are totally at the mercy of what mother nature throws at us including the doldrums. For those that have never heard of the doldrums, it's one of many terms used to describe the inter tropical convergence zone or itcz, an area of either famine or feast when it comes to the amount of wind and at the moment we have a famine. ¤Just to break the boredom we spotted two whales swimming on the surface about 200 metres off our port beam, they were too far away to positively identify but at this latitude they most likely would have been humpback. ¤Life is still nice and relaxing on Annecam.
