We sailed away from Tahiti for the last time, stopping in almost the same spot we anchored in during the Rendezvous a few weeks ago on the Island of Moorea. Early the next morning we caught up with Riley and Elayna from their yacht La Vagabonde, they came over to Annecam for a chat and a cuppa'. The last time we spent some time with them was in Grenada last year, Annie still remembers she and Elayna having way too many Pina Coladas. It was a good but brief catch up, we gave Riley the Lasagna Annie promised and then set our sails for Bora Bora.
We have been anchored in a beautiful bay alongside the Island of Toopua, inside the lagoon here at Bora Bora. The water clarity is absolutely extrodinary, we can see our anchor chain all the way down to our anchor 10 metres below. The blue light we hang in the water off the stern at night that Annie bought me for my birthday, makes night fishing really interesting with reef shark, mackerel and trevally showing up for a look.
The further west we sail, the more Australian flagged yachts we see. I guess that this is almost the same highway we are traveling on, all heading in a similar direction and roughly ending up around the same place.
Life's pretty cool and warm on Annecam
