The grotty yachties!
147 nautical miles sailed taking 22 hours, 147 rum line miles zero to go.
I know that I stated in the last blog that we only had 137nm to go but I should have double checked our planned course on our chart plotter, I was only 10nm short.
We arrived here in Alofi Bay at 0900 local time (gmt-11), Paul off Nora J was waiting to take our lines and help us pick up a mooring. It was a very brief hello to Paul and his wife Jane plus Debbie and John off their yacht Oddity before they sailed to Tonga today.
Late this afternoon we had a visit from a pod of humpback whale, they came to within a few metres of Annecam and as I write this blog we are listening to the whale talking to each other.
The procedure we have to go through with our dinghy at the local dock is something you have to see to believe, it involves a crane to lift the dinghy out, us too if you want the ride. I will post some videos of our journey this year when we get hold of some good wifi, it's impossible to do much with 1g internet, we're lucky to be able to post this.
Life is absolutely amazing on Annecam
