Importing Annecam complete.
24 November 2016 | Station Hill in Platypus Bay, Fraser Island.
Cam "H"
We have just received our notification from Border Force that we have our Authority to deal, in simple terms this means we have completed everything that there is to do regarding importing Annecam into Australia.
For anyone out there who is thinking of doing something similar to what we have done, it means getting a valuation on the boat (cost $500.00) contracting an agent to submit the required forms to Border Force (cost $300.00), there is an additional two page form that has to be completed for Border Force and Biosecurity (cost $30.00). We then received an account for 5% duty on the valuation plus 10% GST over the full amount, once paid we received the Authority to deal (the green light) to sail away from Bundaberg.
We are now anchored over on Fraser Island and with the forecast weather it looks like we will be here for a few days before we can start sailing towards Brisbane to catch up with Annie’s son Dave and one of my daughters Cindy.
The photo is our Mantis anchor, ready to be set at Fraser Island.
Here are the official results for the ECG I had a couple of days ago, I think it looks good.
1. No Valve thickening or dysfunction suggestive of carditis or acute rheumatic fever.
2. Mild concentric LVH.
3. Normal ventricular function.
4. No other significant findings.
If only my leg would get better, life would be sweet on Annecam.
