We took our time before sailing away from Tangalooma on Moreton Island and we sailed over to the entrance to the Brisbane River. We furled our sails away and motored in past the commercial area where the big cargo ships do their thing.
We had to dodge heaps of ferries and a few tugs pushing barges, there was a strong outgoing tide and you guessed it we also had the wind against the tide making for a rather sloppy ride, it did not matter which way we were travelling the wind seemed to be always wiping the water into something that resembled a washing machine.
There are still a few firsts for us on Annecam, yes this is the first time in over 23,000 nautical miles we have tied up to fore and aft pylons, with the wind and the outgoing tide we had to get help from three other cruisers in their dinghies to push and pull us into position. Thank you to Eric, Michael and the third cruiser we did not get your name, we could not have done this without you all.
Photo is us about to motor under the Storey Bridge, right in the city of Brisbane.
Life is pretty awesome on Annecam.
