Cam "H"
Today we said see you later to Port Stephens and after a late start we sailed the 48 nautical miles to Cape Hawke Harbour, after a few little tacks and course corrections we sailed 51nautical miles. We plan to spend the night here and cast off to sail further north tomorrow.
Today’s sail was a little on the slow side of nice as we had a 2 to 3 knot current against us and there was a lack of wind, we are hoping that tomorrow will bring us a little more breeze.
We do have a narrow weather window now to be able to head towards Queensland. We do have the luxury of not having any time frame to be in a certain place by a certain time so when the weather turns nasty again we can choose a spot to sit it out and wait for another window of opportunity to move further north.
The photo is Annie keeping a watch in our cockpit as we sail past Little and Boondelbah Islands just after leaving Port Stephens.
Always look to the future because that is where we are going to spend the rest of our lives.
