Still in Italy
23 July 2012 | Ancona
Annie & Cam "H"
Hi again to all family and friends, we still have to use one of the internet cafes to post this blog and to check our emails. We received some good news from the Australian Maritime Shipping Authority, they have received our first lot of registration documents, the postal system took almost three weeks to deliver it from Zadar Croatia to Canberra Australia. They are still waiting for the marking note (for the landlubbers the document that has the instructions for the registered ships name and number) when they receive it only in hard original then they will post our official registration papers via Qantas for an extra $80. We shopped around for the best price for a pre-payed internet key and when we were told the best they could do for us was 75 Euro (approx $95) we decided to do without and stick to the internet café for only 1.50 Euro per hour plus the bus fare of 1.40 per person, compare the two options and the internet café comes way out in front. Our apartment is right above a beautiful Italian bakery so it’s fresh bread for breakfast every morning and everything else that you could imagine for lunch and dinner. Photo is one of the ancient cannons guarding the port of Ancona.
