We have spent quite an amount of time over the last few days getting Annecam ready for the short stop of six weeks before I will be back to meet the crew and sail across the Atlantic to the Caribbean. We have cleaned the two stern cabins ready for the arrival of the crew, left all of the sails on with a protector cover on the genoa and also a cover on the dinghy and outboard motor. We have winterised Annecam just the same as if we were leaving her for six months.
We have purchased most of the non-perishable provisions that we will need to feed a hungry crew on an ocean passage, being non-perishable they will only be used when the fish do not play the game on our way across.
Annie is counting the days to when she gets to cuddle her grandson “Sam” and I have family and grandsons to chase for a hug plus we have some very special friends to catch up with also.
