Catching breakfast
14 April 2015 | Cane Garden Bay, Tortola Island, BVI's
Cam "H"
We sailed away from one of the best anchorages we have ever been in over here in the British Virgin Islands, North Gorda Sound is right up there with the best of them. Just some of the places we visited while we were there were the Bitter End Yacht Club, Yacht Club Costa Smerelda and Saba Rock just to name a few of the places.
We intended to sail to White Bay on Guana Island and spend some time there, but the wind direction was a little on the wrong side of nice so we sailed on to Cane Garden Bay on the West end of Tortola Island. It is so nice here that we will be staying for an extra night. We visited the 400 year old Distillery where they are still making rum from the local sugar cane, we purchased one bottle called ‘the horny rum, panty remover’ we are not sure about this claim.
This morning Tom, Pip and I took the dinghy for a bit of fishing and managed to catch a few nice trevally for breakfast. Straight from the sea and on to the plate, fresh boneless fillets, on toast with juice and coffee.
Life is very good on Annecam.
