We managed to clear out through the border control in Terre de Haut on the Iles de Saintes and sail to Dominica with company and we could not believe that the company was three other Australian yachts.
The passage was fairly uneventful, with the usual lobster pot floats to dodge and a patch of very rough water where there is a massive step up on the ocean floor causing the swell and waves to stand up. It was in this same patch of water that we achieved our top speed of 9.2 knots but we still only had an average of 7 for the day.
This youtube video will give you some idea of what we are up to here in this part of the Caribbean. I just had a swim with a local sea snake, if the footage is clear you will see it in the next youtube video.
