Cruisers come and cruisers go, so far over the last four years we have met some absolutely fantastic likeminded people and believe it or not we still keep in touch with most of them. There have been a few others who for various reasons have flitted in and out of our world and they have become a distant memory. Then there are the ones who just keep popping up in the same anchorages, the same bays and the same marinas that we happen to be in. There are a few of them who we met over in Europe and we are still spending time with them over here in the Caribbean. Call it fate or just good old coincidence; we keep seeing the same ones over and over again. There is one who shows up almost every time that Annie cooks a lasagne, we think that he can smell one from over fifty nautical miles, sorry Riley we know that you are back in Australia for a few months and guess what?.....we had for dinner last night.
The youtube video #23 Sailing from St Lucia to Bequia was an interesting passage with a 2.5 current against us at the start, keeping our boat speed down to about 4.5 knots but even with the current against us we still managed just over 10 knots as we approached the north end of St Vincent. As soon as we got behind St Vincent we slowed down to 4.5 knots again. Then last few miles we had the current with us, we sailed straight past St Vincent to Admiralty Bay on Bequia where we are anchored right now.
Life is nice, warm and tropical on Annecam.
