Saturday we sailed away from Admiralty Bay on Bequia Island and anchored for two nights on the Tobago Cays, between the Islands of Petit Bateau and Petit Rameau; we had a very easy sail with 12 to 15 knots of breeze pushing us along for an average speed of 6.5 knots. We sailed straight past the Island of Canouan where there have been several boarding’s in recent history. ‘Touch wood’ we have not had an uninvited guest and we are not about to start.
The water here in the Tobago Cays is a post card perfect turquoise blue, with turtles everywhere except when I jump in with the Go-Pro camera but the coral and the fish are fantastic.
This is the first time that we have had access to the internet since Friday in Bequia, the Tobago Cays are a remote National Park with no infrastructure in place for people like us who rely on wifi hot spots. If you are still interested in seeing where we are, just scroll down to the bottom of this page and there you will find our position on our YBTracker.
The video #25 Fish Friday on Bequia Island is a special evening for the visiting cruisers put on by the owner of the Figtree Restaurant Sheryl. A great evening was had by all.
