Countdown has started
26 October 2015 | Clarkes Court Boatyard

The countdown has started for us once again as we now have just over 24 hours to go and we will be starting leg one of our flights from Melbourne, Australia to Grenada in the Caribbean. As weird as it sounds, we lost a whole day plus a bit on our flight from LA to Australia, now we will be flying back to the past and landing about 2 and a half hours before we leave on the same day, we will never get the lost day back as it has something to do with flying across the International Date Line.
It is early spring time here in Australia and we are still experiencing fluctuating temperatures with some nice warm days up to 32c, followed by the occasional cold front straight out of the Southern Ocean dropping the temperatures down to almost freezing, we had a low of 2c a couple of morning ago.
We have had a great time catching up with some of our families and as many friends as we possibly could and of course the grandchildren, Baxter, Phenix and Sam. A big thank you to all of our families, the ones who provided us with accommodation and all of the wonderful hospitality, it has been great to catch up with some of them.
The photo is the Morris Bishop International Airport in Grenada that we should be landing at on Thursday the 29th at 2035. I managed to capture this photo as we flew out on the 26th of September on our way to Miami, Florida.
Just in case you were wondering the GPS location on this blog is where Annecam is, not us.
Life is a bit sad saying 'see you later', to our families and friends here in Australia, it is also a bit exciting at the same time knowing that we are about to embark on another part of our voyage sailing back to Australia on Annecam.
