French Islands of the Caribbean
19 January 2016 | Terra de Haut, Iles Des Saintes
Cam & Annie Hair
We sailed from Portsmouth Dominica up to the Iles de Saintes. These are a small group of Islands just south of Guadeloupe. The passage from start to the finish only took about two and a half hours and our chart plotter said we covered 23 nautical miles.
This is another location that we have been in before and it is one of the best of the French Islands, the people are friendly and helpful, most have a good grip on the English language and it along with all of the French Islands here in the Caribbean have the best Customs and Immigration clearance system we have ever come across. There are heaps of locations that one can clear in or out and it is all done on one of the computers at the specified internet cafes or tourist information offices at most of the ports or anchorages.
We are now tied to a mooring ball and we will be here for at least two nights, so tomorrow we will be exploring the places we did not get to the last time we were here.
Life is always good on Annecam.
