50 nautical miles in the last 24 hours, 397nm to Takaroa Atoll in the Tuamotos. ¤Our passage from the Maquesas Islands to the Tuamoto Atolls started okay with a steady 8 knots of breeze but after only 3 hours it all but disappeared down to almost nothing, giving us our shortest day that we have ever had on Annecam, I finished up just dropping the sails and hoving to for half the night. The forecast said that there would be light winds and that turned out to be an understatement and to add insult to injury we managed to drift backwards for several hours. ¤Oh well such is life on the high seas. ¤Yesterday we walked to the water fall above the anchorage on Fatu Hiva, it was absolutely amazing, to swim in beautiful clean clear fresh water and to be salt free until I managed to fall into the harbour trying to get out of the dinghy, much to the amusement of everyone who was watching. ¤Life might be a little slow but it is still good on Annecam
