119 nautical miles in the last 24 hours, completing the 446 rum line miles before midnight. ¤After struggling we the serious lack of wind over the first few days, we finally got some wind all from a very intense tropical thunder storm that dropped right on top of us and stayed with us for the day. We had it all, the lightning, the very loud thunder, the driving rain and wind that sometimes hit well over 30 knots. Our speed was sometimes hitting over the 12 knot mark. We arrived in the dark so I took the safe option and hove to, just floating around until the sun came up. ¤We are now anchored just on the side of the Teauonae Passage on the Takaroa Atoll, it will be good to catch up on some sleep and with a bit of luck purchase a few litres of diesel. ¤Life is nothing short of fantastic on board Annecam.
