Relaxed

Wind is a more relaxed east 15 today. Harbour a bit livelier. Jeans return to wardrobe.
Breakfasted at the Peace and Plenty Hotel looking out through picture windows and wide open doorway to Stock Island anchorage a mile across the white-cap speckled, aqua water of Elizabeth Harbour. Light blue, hazy sky above. This is a chamber of commerce vision.
Not a revelation, but watching several old men talking over coffee was exactly like at a Paris sidewalk cafe or at the old hotel coffee shop in New Richmond, WI and probably everywhere else. Old friends earnestly expounding on how things were, are or ought to be and impatiently explaining how if only everyone would listen to them...
Emptied all the jerry can diesel into the integral tank thinking to refill them and gas in town. After shlepping four cans across to G'Town discovered that there's no gas or diesel. "Ship come in tomorrow, maybe Tuesday". Maybe not. Planned to round-trip with laundry, but got waylaid by a delightful couple from Texas on a CSY 37 and 'wound up drinking all night'... no wait, that was Buffett. Anyway, talked until nearly time for happy hour at the Chat 'n Chill. Have to fill that square then
meander over to St. Francis for kickoff. 'A man's got to know his limitations'. (Plagiarism is my friend).
