Selling is way less fun than buying because it's more work to ship crap out. Of course there's a money consideration, but accumulating new toys, besides the obvious fun, has advantage of matching with investment strategy (buy high, sell low). Anyway had to make room for all the incoming by losing old oven, motor hoist and AIS receiver. Ebay seemed the responsible thing as opposed to hiding them in the bushes and tiptoeing away.

Speaking of which most orders have yet to arrive and the humongous tax turning-into-a-pumpkin date is rapidly approaching. Florida Department of Revenue is very insistent and commensurately unforgiving.

Wednesday 8 May

As implied have been ricocheting between crises last week or so like a squirrel with a coke habit, but end in sight. Now have double pinky swear promise that watermaker pump, dive compressor, wind generator deck connector and motor hoist will appear Friday. Nobody wanted to deal with me whimpering like a baby or holding my breath until turning blue. As previously recounted, must leave state or be subject to giant sucking sound from bank account.

Here's another potential problem. Purchased new wind-generator-pole-mounted motor hoist to replace free-standing one which was sold after moving motor to temporary and untenable position on side rail. Generator has not been erected. "Ah hah" you say as indeed did I. Began to suspect this might entail some effort. Besides normal sloth, delay of this disagreeable work (redundant?) was due a location conundrum - no place that doesn't screw something else up.

Friday 10 May

KISS pole up (with generator atop), new hoist mounted and dive compressor stored (no tank yoke due being sold for diving, but used for paint ball tanks. Their bad, but still a good deal). However, no Clark pump and no contact with dealer. Panic narrowly averted with judicious application of gin & tonic.

Sunday 11 May

UPS blamed mother (those muthas, how dare they) and after more pinky swears, last 2 items arrived Saturday afternoon to be installed and (who could have predicted) operational by evening. Meantime Jan Nightingale delivered friend Mark to hospital so as to return his shoulder to a more agreeable location in the joint. His vicodin induced haze marked her return for a late, canned chicken and dumpling dinner (my contribution to haute cuisine) and bed at midnight.

Awake at six. Goodbye America.
