No Worries

08 June 2015 | Baie Uamoe, Ile des Pins
Sunday 7 June 2015

Enforced day of rest transpired eventually as 20 to 25 kt wind came across wide bay to us for a few hours this morning before backing south. No longer a bronco with firm flank strap we're still, even with less fetch, jiggling like a 200 pound belly dancer. Expect little change until the weekend. Moved closer to shore for protection as wind continued to back. Will probably return to civilization in two hops starting Wednesday, stopping overnight in the Baie du Prony.

Monday

With wind now southeast, primary boat movement is from regular 30 knot gusts. This silliness isn't forecast to let up until Saturday or Sunday, but may drop a knot or two for Wednesday and early Thursday. No matter, we expect locomotion (not the dance) at that time.

Credit card actually got delivered to Port Moselle today without signature. Ensuing confidence that chaps will be delivered by next week with no dramas has reached staggering heights. We relax in the knowledge that except for the rudder possibly falling out of the hull all is right with the world. *Alert* Foregoing hyperbole should not engender concern as the steering quadrant would prevent actual loss. More likely the rudder post would slide down to jam rudder causing us to perform large circles until we fetched up on a reef and sank, so no worries. *Alert* Foregoing hyperbole should not engender concern as we would undoubtedly stop the boat to lift rudder back into position while we drifted onto a reef and sank, so no worries *Alert* Foregoing hyperbole should not engender concern as, um... well, it just shouldn't. No worries.
