Good Taste, No Haste

Light wind near the stern and lumpy sea. Not a prescription for peace and tranquility. Determined to sail, we've tried nearly everything and now running on a 160 degree starboard tack flying spinnaker to port and 3/4 main by the lee, far out to windward. Main gives some push, spillover keeps spin full and boat motion has eased. Still not foaming the sea with only 6 to 7 knots apparent, but heading in correct direction and resultant 4.5 to 5 knots will get us in by afternoon tomorrow.
It's been hot, uncomfortable and tense with, just guessing, half the Indonesian fishing fleet within 5 miles. Hard to see during the day as many are small and blend into the sea, at night we're surrounded by scores of lights to and beyond the horizon. Even the little boats have several brilliant floods pointed at the water to, one assumes, attract wee fish which then bring the real prey.
