Back in the Eastern Caribbean

Our intention was to wait for a good weather window and sail the 300+ miles up to Puerto Rico. We left Blanquilla on November 11 with a nice wind and light seas. We listened to several weather forecasts and downloaded many weather reports and felt that our timing was about as good as it was going to get. Late in the afternoon we decided that we really rather head east to the eastern Caribbean and work our way up the island chain. It took us another 30 hours to make landfall at Chatham Bay, Union Island. It has been 18 days since we have walked a street, downloaded our hotmail or gone to a grocery store.
