VHF radio and dinghies keep us connected.

What a great evening -- one of those 'it all seemed to click' events. We had friends from five boats (Selene 60, Solo 43, three Nordhavns 47, 63 and 68) aboard our Nordhavn 55 for a Cajun dinner (seafood gumbo, potato salad, collards and blackeyed peas, jalapenos and cheddar cheese rolls) and chocolate cake. DK served Sazerac cocktails (good Kentucky rye whiskey, absinth, Dr. Peychaud's bitters, and simple syrup, shake and serve on ice with a twist of lemon peel); delicious and potentially deadly.
Bridging the diverse backgrounds (though the majority are entrepreneurs), and connecting those meeting for the first time, is a passion for cruising on a trawler without crew, and the oportunity to exchange info on the miriad of boat system and stuff, and cruising destinations. We're glad we kept our huge table, it sat 10 nicely.
We were lucky with the weather, it had been building toward a storm, but no serious rain yet.

Sad to be heading in opposite directions, safe travels. We'll keep in touch.
Best,
