Happy New year from our home in Comrie, Scotland. We have spent the last seven month here, but are now ready for take off to our lovely yacht, s/v Aros Mear, which we acquired in 2010 in Mazatlan, Mexico.
Our old beloved boat, the Aros More was sold after the homecoming from our three year Atlantic loop in 2009.
We went an ocean and a continent out and found our lovely yacht, Aros Mear, Norseman 447, in Mexico. We fitted her out and sailed her starting at Hogmanay 2011 southward bound. We coasted along the beautiful stretches of Central-amrica, called in at several ports along the coast in Mexico, El Salvador and last Costa Rica, where she was left in Pourto Azol, Pontarenas.
We have had a good time in wet Scottish surroundings back home, but it will be good to get back on to the boat.
On Wednesday 9th January we fly back to join the boat for the next four-five months, with plans of sailing south to Panama and the Galapagos Islands.
The photo is from the top of the condominium building in the marina compound. Aros Mear is the first sailboat on the left side on the pontoon with yellow kayak on the port side.
