Banana river, take my mind
01 February 2012 | Banana River
Admiral Terry passing as First Mate, with large power boat in background.
This morning we finished up boat prep, at least for a while. Filled water tanks, reinstalled the furling jib, etc, and returned the rental car. (Not before, of course, more foraging for groceries.)
We exited arrow's winter home at 11:30 am and motor'd a couple of miles eastward in the Canaveral Barge Canal to the Banana River. There we anchored just off the Port Canaveral cruise ship terminal. No need to rush into things.
The Captain fired up his Kindle, and the Admiral attacked a Sudoku - go figure.
Weather was, according to the Admiral, "perfect," sunny with temps in the mid-70's and a modest breeze.
