Welcome to Open Ocean this Blog Is primarily about the travels and adventures of the sailing vessel "Ascension" . Having left Victoria on Vancouver Island in August of 2003 Gord and Ginny the vessels owners, planned to sail down and cruise to Mexico where they could enjoy the cruising life for a couple of years. After a season in Mexico they decided to try crossing the Pacific and the adventure has turned into resulting Circumnavigation.
