For the past several months, Sheryl and I have been working hard on inventorying, categorizing, and pricing all of our cruising possessions. Everything has been organized on a FOR SALE website we have created to facilitate turning these items into cash.

On the website you will find: books related to sailing and cruising, charts and guides, all sorts of cruising and sailing equipment, courtesy flags, a dinghy and outboard, and, of course a 35-foot sailboat, all for very reasonable asking prices. Even if you are not interested in nautical shopping, you may find the site to be of interest. It shows, in great detail, how we outfitted ourselves for cruising and we have tried, where possible, to include our opinions on these products based on the experience of relying upon them these past two years.

If you are interested in anything at all, contact us soon. Tomorrow we start placing many of these items on eBay.

We are Doug & Sheryl, owners and crew of the sailing vessel Prudence.

This blog starts in 2005, when we initially had the idea to quit our jobs and live on a sailboat while we cruised to the Caribbean. At that time we had never owned a boat and had no experience sailing. [...]
