Left Port Patrick (Anatom Island) around 0900 this morning and are making good progress towards Noumea with the wind behind us. Port Patrick was a small anchorage and village, with a big appetite for Hollywood blockbusters but only 4 or so yachts visiting a year. t the chief's request we wiped three memory cards and filled them with new movies from our collection - including Invictus, 12 Years a Slave, Alice in Wonderland, Love Actually, 300 and Despicable Me - something for everyone. As the village doesn't have electricity they charge their laptop using solar panels. We also gave them the rest of our frozen meat in anticpation of the New Caledonian authorities requiring us to bin it anyway. Last night we could see several fires on the shore - gearing up for a BBQ and movie marathon perhaps?! At this rate we'll be pretty close to Noumea in just over 24 hours time.
